So… Summer 2025 is almost at an end (I know, so sad), but it’s not leaving without leaving its mark on the fashion world. During this stunning period, we saw some trends circulating that need to be highlighted and remembered for years to come. Here’s a list of the ones that feel the most representative of this glorious—and unfortunately too short—season:
Headscarf + Little Sunglasses Combo

Summer 2025 was all about recycling previous trends (so green, right?), and this one always makes a comeback when a truly chic girl takes a drive in her convertible or enjoys a day on her yacht. It blends class, elegance, exclusivity, and extra sun protection, which translates directly into fewer wrinkles (or saving up on Botox, yay!). It also gives whoever’s wearing it this mysterious look since you can’t fully see their face. Perfect for when you fall victim to those swollen, sun-damaged eyelids and red cheeks.
Milkmaid Dresses

These are a staple in the “cottagecore” girl’s closet. And how couldn’t they be? They radiate delicacy and innocence. They also make you feel like an 1800s housewife (or is it just me?). Anyways… these are perfect for any occasion—be it the beach, lunch, errands, or even work if you choose an appropriate variation. Basically, they’re the most versatile item in your summer wardrobe.
Boho Chic

I am SO happy boho chic is back! She should’ve never left. Think Coachella 2010s, but 2025. It just makes sense. So grab your headbands, chunky handmade jewelry, statement belts, and fringe boots because they are back! Especially Isabel Marant or Free People vibes. This style doesn’t just look good, it also unlocks that “reconnecting with nature” vibe hidden inside you. Pretty soon you’ll be off to organic retreats and starting a garden—or something. That’s cool, just don’t try to bring all of us with you.
Florals and Fun Prints

This is what makes summer so missable. For some reason, once it’s over, people just turn into lifeless, grey-dressing robots. But enough about that (please), because we’re talking about the good stuff. Prints have become such a vibe in 2025, and I feel it plays into this whimsical lifestyle typical of the year. Besides, they’re super feminine and never disappoint. Wear them anywhere! Just make sure they match.
Polka Dots

Obsessed. That is all I can say. Seriously, is there anything chicer than the combination of two colors displayed in such a graceful way? I doubt it. This one is also a retro trend, and I’m all for it. Picture this: a black and white polka dot dress, half-up half-down wavy hairdo, mini sunglasses, and a reddish lip gloss. I die! So chic.
Sailor Chic

The name of this just sounds funny. I mean, chic isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a sailor. But I get it—it basically falls into the “old money yacht mom” aesthetic. It’s based around wearing white and navy blue striped clothing with red accents. What can I say? It’s elegant, mature, and the perfect mix of vintage and trendy.
White Linen Sets

Hello, clean girl! Of course you had to be included here somewhere. White linen is already a whole trend of its own, but I’m focusing on those chic matching sets—oversized button-downs with shorts or pants. The clean girls wear it with their famous slick buns and glowy “glazed donut” skin. It’s super cute whether you wear it to the beach as a cover-up or as loungewear for everyday use. It looks polished and, well… obviously clean.
Maxi Skirts

I know what you’re thinking: “Um, isn’t this part of the boho trend?” Well, yes. But I have a lot to say about it, so it deserves its own section. This trend is the epitome of chic. It’s fun, playful, modest, and breezy—everything you want in a summer outfit. Also, while it belongs in boho, every aesthetic has its own version, which makes maxi skirts even more lovable. Just think: polka dot, linen, floral, grunge… they work everywhere.
Capri Pants
This is a trend we all hated on for so long until we were like, “Wait… it actually looks good? What??” I know it wasn’t just me. They look polished and cool, and they fit right into that “model off-duty” look. Anyways, wear them and enjoy their slenderizing effect and retro revival moment.
Cheetah Print
Who could forget such a GLAMOROUS trend? I love this switch-up in patterns. Just think: no less than two years ago we all thought animal print was tacky and for old ladies, and now look at us. My prediction? Cheetah is going to bring its distant relatives into the spotlight—expect zebra, cobra, and cow prints soon. But back to cheetah: it perfectly captures the essence of Summer 2025—playful, bold, and wild. It also makes for a killer night-out outfit.
Classic Vintage Americana

This is a 4th of July staple: think red-and-white plaid, cowboy boots, ripped denim shorts, glass Coca-Cola bottles, and so on. You have to partake in this at least once a year—it’s tradition. Go to a 50s/60s diner and grab a milkshake for the full effect (look at you, honoring tradition!). I don’t know why, but that’s just the perfect summer plan.
Cashmere Sweaters

I keep seeing this everywhere on Pinterest, and it has absolutely taken over my inspo boards. Basically, the chic Pinterest girls are pairing low-neckline white cashmere sweaters with little white shorts, mini round sunglasses, and a headband (Omg, clean girls, there you are again! Or maybe it’s the old money girls?). Either way, no one can deny its perfection.
Grunge Chic

Yet another recycled trend! This style consists of low-rise denim shorts, sleeveless black shirts with cool designs, boots, and a whole lot of leather jackets. It’s the ultimate cool girl style, and no one can deny it. There’s a specific set of people who pull this off best—the punk girls (Kate Moss, Avril Lavigne, Taylor Momsen) or the off-duty New York models. Both incredibly chic. It’s the perfect messy-meets-glam look.
Ok, so what did you think? Which summer trend defined your summer? I’d love to hear it!
